Moseley Earns Second Team All Conference Honors
Senior
standout Erin Moseley of Sterling, Mass. has been named to the Great
Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All Conference Second Team as recently
selected by the conference coaches.
Moseley, who earned second team all conference accolades as a sophomore and
first team honors as a junior, becomes the first DWC student athlete in
Eagles volleyball history to earn three successive all conference honors.
Moseley
lead the Eagles in almost every major statistical category including total
kills (203) and kills per game (3.27), hitting percentage (.239), serving
aces (70 and service aces per game (1.13), digs (177) and digs per game
(2.85), and was second in total blocks (68) and blocks per game (1.10).
Moseley finished the season among the top 10 individually in the GNAC,
including first in aces (sixth nationally), second in blocks, fourth in
hitting percentage, fifth in total kills, and sixth in digs.
Moseley was a two time weekly honoree of the GNAC including being named GNAC
Player of the Week on October 2nd, and was named to the Weekly Honor Roll
October 30th.
Moseley reached double figures in kills 10 times this past season, while
hitting for double digits in digs six times and once in serving aces and
blocks. She posted a season best 24 kills in a loss to Suffolk October 28th,
12 aces in a win over Pine Manor September 20th, 21 digs in a win over
Albertus Magnus September 30th, and 11 blocks in a loss to Simmons September
24th.
It was a remarkable career for the middle hitter, who retires as the
program's all time leader in kills (610), attempts, serving aces (263) and
second in total blocks (175).
Under the tutelage of first year Head Coach Tammy Lambrou, the Eagles posted
a 6-11 overall mark including a 4-7 record in GNAC play.
