Moseley Named GNAC Player of the Week
Manchester, N.H. - Erin Moseley (Sterling, Mass.) has been named the Great
Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Volleyball Player of the Week.
The selection was announced by the conference office.
Moseley, a senior middle hitter and standout server, helped the Eagles to a
2-1 week including a 1-1 mark in GNAC play.
In two weekend matches against Albertus Magnus and Western New
England, Moseley averaged 3.14 kills, 5.28 digs and 1.42 aces per
game, including a match high 18 kills, 21 digs, six aces and two blocks in a
3-1 victory over Albertus.
In that victory, Moseley became the Eagles
all time program leader in career kills at 435.
Already the all time program
serving ace champion and reigning national statistical champion in the serving category,
Moseley also reached the 200 career ace mark in the win.
Through eight total matches (28 games overall), Moseley leads the Eagles with 3.39 kills and a team best 1.54 serving aces per game.
With 95 kills against just 23 errors in 269 attempts, Moseley is hitting a
solid .234 at the net.
Moseley, who was a first team all conference selection last season and a
second teamer as a sophomore, is
putting up all-league numbers again this year. Through games of October 3,
she leads the GNAC in ace average, stands second in blocks, second in kills,
third in digs, and fifth in hitting percentage.
5-4 overall (4-4 NCAA) and 3-2 in GNAC play, the Eagles are off until Saturday
when they travel to Bennington, Vt. for a regional tri-match with host
Southern Vermont and Saint Joseph's (Conn.) starting at 1:00 p.m. The St.
Joseph's match up will be a GNAC contest.
