Eagles Sink Hawks To Win Season Opener, 3-1

Liecester, Mass. -- Erin Moseley (Sterling, Mass.) notched a match-high 13 kills and 20 digs and added five blocks and five serving aces to lead the Daniel Webster Women’s volleyball team past host Becker College, 3-1 Tuesday night.

Brianna Johnson (Nashua, N.H.) added seven kills and 12 digs as the Eagles (1-0) took the match 25-30, 30-22, 30-17, 30-15 and gave new Head Coach and Manchester, N.H. native Tammy Lambrou her first win at the collegiate level.

Amy Ingvertsen (Cornwall, Conn.) notched 18 assists, while Jessica Carter (Martinsburg, W.V.) added five kills and five serving aces.

The Eagles knocked the Hawks to 1-3 on the season.

DWC opens its 2006 home schedule Saturday with a tri-match including Newbury and Framingham State.
