Mount Ida Sweeps Past Eagles, 3-0
 

(Nashua) – Chelsea Darnell (Dublin, Ohio) notched six kills, seven digs and knocked down five service aces leading Mount Ida past host Daniel Webster, 30-26, 30-18, and 30-11 in a Great Northeast Athletic women’s volleyball contest Saturday.

Adrienne Xenos (Brockton, Mass.) added six kills and four solo blocks, while Cherie Parisi (South Attleboro, Mass.) kicked in with six kills as the Mustangs won their fifth straight improving to 16-3 overall and moved to 4-1 in GNAC play. Blair Canan (North Reading, Mass.) dished out 19 assists and added three aces.

Jasmine Salinas (Houston, Tex.) led the Eagles (4-4, 2-4 GNAC) with six kills, while Jessica Carter (Martinsburg, W.V.) and Ashley Boyd (Hanson, Mass.) added four kills.

The Eagles travel to Pine Manor next Sunday to face the host Gators along with Albertus Magnus in a GNAC tri-match beginning at 10:00 a.m. Mount Ida hosts Eastern Nazarene Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
