Eagles Earn Split Topping Albertus, Falling to Pine Manor
(Chestnut Hill, Mass.) – Jasmine Salinas (Houston, Tex.) registered a match
high nine kills and added five service aces leading Daniel Webster past
Albertus Magnus 30-18, 30-14, 30-18 to earn a split in a Great Northeast
volleyball tri-match at Pine Manor Sunday afternoon.
Brianna Johnson (Nashua, N.H.) added five kills, five digs, and three aces
as the Eagles (5-5, 3-5 GNAC) rebounded from a 3-0 sweep at the hands of
host Pine Manor earlier in the day.
Jessica Carter (Martinsburg, W.V.) and Jessica Milbert (New Ipswich, N.H.)
chipped in with four kills each in the victory.
In the opener, Salinas posted 12 kills, while Johnson added six kills and 11
digs, but the host Gators pulled away with a 30-28, 30-13, 30-21 victory.
Milbert added seven digs to help the Eagle defense.
DWC hosts Rivier Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in a GNAC contest.
