Newbury Tops Eagles, 3-1

(Brookline, Mass.) – Courtney LeDoux (Nashua, NH/Nashua) recorded a game high 23 digs in tonight’s 3-1 victory over Daniel Webster College in a meeting of future NECC rivals.

Emily Mullin (Ashland, MA/Norfolk Agricultural) supplied a game high 15 kills, while Kerri McAuley (Middleboro, MA/Sacred Heart) chipped in 11 kills and 4 blocks. Sandy Karalekas (East Longmeadow, MA/East Longmeadow) provided an additional 9 kills, 3 service aces, 3 blocks, and 20 digs .

The Eagles saw impressive play from their middle hitters, Brianna Johnson (Nashua, NH/Nashua) and Ashley Boyd (Hanson, MA/Whitman-Hanson). Johnson had 10 kills and 13 digs, while Boyd provided 9 kills and 12 digs.

The Nighthawks are now 8-19 on the season, and Daniel Webster falls to 5-11.
