Moseley Earns N.H. Coaches All Star Honors
Nashua -
Add one last accolade to a wall of many for senior basketball standout Erin
Moseley.
On the heels of becoming the most decorated female student-athlete in both
Daniel Webster and Great Northeast Athletic Conference history, Moseley
capped her basketball career with one final honor, earning Second Team
honors as part of the New Hampshire Division III Coaches’ Association All
Star team announced this week.
Moseley earned the award after completing her senior season becoming the all
time leading scorer in Eagle program history in her final collegiate
contest. She was later named Second Team All GNAC, becoming the first
student-athlete in DWC and GNAC history to earn three all conference awards
in two different sports, women’s basketball and women’s volleyball.
It is the second straight N.H. All Star award for Moseley, as she was named
a Second Teamer last season as well.
Moseley surpassed the previously most decorated player in program history -
the same player she surpassed in her final collegiate game for the program
all time scoring record - in the person of the great Sheryl Arduino '01, who
was a two-time First Team GNAC selection.
Moseley reached the top of the DWC scoring mountain in her final collegiate
outing on February 23rd against Lasell. Needing 18 points to surpass
Arduino’s 1,404 point marker, Moseley easily surpassed the number,
registering a game high 25. Her record breaker came on a layup with 8:49 to
play.
Moseley capped her career with 1,412 total points with a career average of
15.9 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. She finished as the seventh player in
Great Northeast Athletic Conference history to reach 1,400 points and her
820 total rebounds placed her third all time at DWC and 11th in the GNAC.
Defensively, Moseley’s 141 blocks is first in Eagle history and fifth in the
GNAC. She also retires as the all time program leader in total field goals
and second in total free throws.
On the season, Moseley finished third in GNAC scoring average and led the
team with 16.9 ppg. Her 1.60 blocks per game was fourth best in the league,
while her 8.0 rebounds was a team best and 10th in the conference. She also
finished third in shooting percentage at 49.2-percent and 13th in free throw
shooting (.674).
Playing in all 25 games and starting in 20, Moseley hit for double figures
in scoring 21 times including nine 20-plus outings and hit for over 30 twice
including a 33-point outing against Lyndon State January 17th and a 31-point
eruption against Mitchell February 20th. She also reached double figures in
rebounding seven times including a season best 15 against Pine Manor January
19th. Under the basket, Moseley registered at least three blocks in a game
on eight different occasions.
Moseley was also a three-time All Conference honoree for the Eagles on the
women’s volleyball court, earning second team accolades as a sophomore,
first team as a junior and second team as a senior.
