Eagles Fall To Wellesley In Tourney Consolation

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – All Tournament selection Erin Moseley notched 12 points and Sara Shea added nine, but Wellesley rebounded from a 21-17 halftime deficit to pin a 50-38 loss on the Eagles in the consolation of the Days Inn of Campton Tournament at Plymouth State Saturday afternoon.

Briana DeSeignora added six points as the Eagles fell to 0-2 on the early season.

Jessica Duff led Wellesley (1-1) with 18 points, while Julia Thomas added 13.

Cold shooting hurt the Eagles throughout as they hit 29% in the first half, but fell to 20% in the second. Wellesley also finished with a 54-39 advantage on the glass.

DWC returns to action Tuesday for their 2007-08 home opener. The Eagles host Anna Maria beginning at 5:00 p.m.
