Shea's Full Stat Sheet Guides Eagles Past Wheelock, 64-41


Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Sarah Shea (Quincy, Mass.) notched game highs of 15 points and five steals and added six rebounds and three assists to lead the Daniel Webster women’s basketball team past host Wheelock, 64-41 in a matchup of future New England Collegiate Conference rivals Saturday in a game played at Pine Manor College.

Nicole Conley (Hinesburg, Vt.) added nine points including important back-to-back three pointers in the second half to quell a Wheelock rally and Joyce Chagan (Boothbay, Maine) and Ashley Boyd (Hanson, Mass.) chipped in with seven points each as the Eagles evened their record on the season at 3-3 overall.

Erin Moseley (Sterling, Mass.) added six points and a game high 11 rebounds including four on the offensive glass.

Sarah Brown led the Wildcats with 13 points, while Kerry Casey notched 11 and Amelia Woodley chipped in with seven.

The Eagles shot a solid 44% in the first half, building a 32-20 lead the break and finished 40% from the field on the afternoon. DWC was aided by 38 Wheelock turnovers in the contest.

DWC returns to action Tuesday as they travel to New England College for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
