Eagles Console Selves, Top Hornets 58-51

(Lyndonville, Vt.) - Erin Moseley (Sterling, Mass.) notched a game high 24 points going 8 of 12 from the field and added 15 rebounds to lead Daniel Webster to a 58-51 comeback win over host Lyndon State in the consolation round of the Lady Hornet Tournament Sunday.

The Eagles (3-2) trailed at the half 38-23, but clamped down defensively in the second half, holding the Hornets (4-2) to a paltry 5 of 36 shooting from the field (14%).

Briana DeSeignora (Medfield, Mass.) added 13 points going 6 of 10 from the floor while Danielle Carkin contributed six points, seven rebounds, and three steals.

Sara Fetterhoff led Lyndon State with 17 points and 10 boards, while Jackie Wetzel added 12 points. The Hornets dropped their second straight.

The Eagles are off until Thursday when they host New England College at 5:00 p.m. in the first game of a women's-men's (7:00 p.m.) doubleheader.
