Eagles Go Overtime Again, Topping Regis, 2-1

Weston, Mass. – Freshman Kacie Lang (Raymond, N.H.) converted a TC DiSantis (Hinsdale, Mass.) pass 2:36 into overtime giving the Daniel Webster College women’s soccer team a stunning, 2-1 come-from-behind victory over host Regis College Monday afternoon.

Lang’s gamer came on the heels of junior Erin Hurd’s (Centerville, Mass.) game-tying score with just 44 seconds remaining in regulation to force the extra session.

It was the second straight 2-1 overtime victory for the Eagles, who nipped Bay Path this past Saturday, and evened the Eagles’ record at 2-2 overall. The two early victories have already matched the program’s wins total from last season.

Freshman Amy Waller (Berlin, Mass.) made three stops in goal.

The Pride (0-2) had forged ahead on a Megan Roan score with 8:22 remaining in regulation.

The Eagles return to action Saturday as they host Southern Vermont College in a New England Collegiate Conference contest beginning at 1:00 p.m.
