Elms Shuts Out Eagles, 6-0


Nashua - Krystyna Gagne (Methuen, Mass.) notched two goals and added an assist, while Alison Couture (Chicopee, Mass.) and Jen Killion (Cambridge, Mass.) added two scores, powering the Elms College women’s soccer team past host Daniel Webster College, 6-0 in a NECC matchup Saturday at Eagle Field.

Shannon Donnelly (Florence, Mass.) added four saves for the win in goal as the Blazers improved to 4-6 overall and remained undefeated (4-0) in NECC play.

Amy Waller (Berlin, Mass.) made 12 stops in goal for the Eagles (4-4, 2-2 NECC).

Gagne got the Blazers going with an unassisted tally 3:31 in, and Couture followed at the 10:11 mark for a 2-0 edge.

Gagne added her second of the day 5:26 later and Couture notched second at the 27:45 mark for a 4-0 advantage off a Gagne feed.

Killion closed out the scoring with a pair of second half goals in the 58th and 75th minutes.

The Eagles return to action Tuesday when they host Green Mountain College in a non conference match up beginning at 3:30 p.m. Elms hosts Southern Vermont Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
