Men's Volleyball Accepted Into NECVA
The Daniel Webster College Department of Athletics today announced that the men’s volleyball program was recently granted membership in the prestigious Northeast Collegiate Volleyball Association and will begin varsity play in January 2009. The Eagles will compete in the eight-team New England Division which includes Endicott College, Newbury College, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Lesley University, Southern Vermont College, MIT, and Elms College. Golf / Men's Basketball:
McDermott Tabbed To Head Men's Golf Program, Serve As Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Evan McDermott has been named Head Coach of the Daniel Webster College (DWC) men’s golf program and assistant coach of the men’s basketball program. The announcement was made by Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs for Athletics Phil Rowe. “We are very pleased to welcome Evan aboard in these roles,” said Rowe. “He has demonstrated outstanding skills and a wealth of knowledge in both sports. Both programs will greatly benefit from his contributions.” MORE

Horton, Hunt Named Student-Athletes Of The Year, Headlining Annual Awards Night At DWC
Junior cross country runner Kevin Horton of Kingston, Mass. and senior women’s soccer defender Sarah Hunt of San Jose, Calif. were named the recipients of the Male and Female Student-Athlete of the Year award, while senior women’s basketball and softball standout Erin Moseley of Sterling, Mass. and senior men’s ice hockey forward Mike Collette of Oceanside, N.Y. were named recipients of the Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards, headlining the annual Daniel Webster College (DWC) Eagle Athletics Awards Night held recently at the Collings Auditorium of the Eaton-Richmond Center on the College campus. Rocco Appointed To Keene Swamp Bats Coaching Staff
The Keene Swamp Bats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) have filled out their coaching lineup. First-year Coach Marty Testo announced this week that the Swamp Bats have hired Daniel Webster assistant Mike Rocco, a 2007 graduate of Bryant, as the team's second assistant. MORE
