Activities and Organizations
Daniel Webster College students are encouraged to join existing campus organizations or explore with the Administration starting their own if there is not an existing club that they are interested in. Students can plan on-campus activities, programs and events through the Clubs and Organizations Executive Committee (COEC) and the Student Activities Board.
Student Activities Board
The Student Activities Board (SAB) is the primary coordinator of entertainment and social programs for students. Events generally take place every week, and during weekends. Café Nights are held weekly and acoustic performances occur monthly; in addition, a variety of performers or events appear on the weekends throughout the school year. SAB always welcomes new members and also seeks to co-sponsor events with other campus organizations. Interested students should stop by the Student Development Office.
Clubs and Organizations Executive Committee
The Clubs and Organizations Executive Board (COEC), which represents all student run clubs and organizations on campus, is composed of two Executive Board members and a council of campus representatives. All students are welcome to attend the COEC meetings, which are held bi-weekly. As the main voice for the student organizations, the COEC maintains an open line of communication between and among the administration, faculty, and students. It encourages student input regarding College policies, facilities improvements, and campus activities and events. COEC also has the responsibility of providing recognition for new clubs and organizations, and to fund those recognized student organizations. There are five committees under COEC: Community Service, Dining Services, Facilities, Health and Wellness, and Recycling. The committees, which are composed of campus representatives and Resident Assistants, work toward improving campus and student life at DWC.
SAB and COEC currently share office space in the Veteran's Memorial Library. There are no set hours, but members from both organizations are generally available to receive visitors or through email and will set up times to meet with students as needed.
