Living Learning Community
The Living Learning Community (LLC) brings together first-year students who share an interest in community service and leadership development. Students in the LLC live together in Gates Hall, commit to monthly community service in the 21st Century Extended Day Program or the Nashua Police Athletic League After School Program; take the Living Learning Community course (DW 101) with the director of Experiential Learning, and participate in monthly events on campus including a leadership workshop. As an extended conversation about, and reflection upon, citizenship and responsibility, the LLC program encourages friendships among students, as well as deepening their understanding of the relationships between themselves and the larger society outside DWC. LLC residents are encouraged and challenged to become leaders in the DWC community and beyond.
