Welcome to Daniel Webster College!
We are pleased that you are taking the time to
"check us out," see what we have to offer, see
what's new, or just read what the president has to
say about the institution.
What I have to say is just this - the
excitement has just begun!
We are on an upward trajectory to new and
exciting programs, courses, initiatives, and campus development
that has us on the leading edge in areas important to so many of
our constituents: current and prospective students and families;
alumni; donors; trustees; our internal "family"; and members of
the local community.
Partnerships, leadership, engaging new and
newly-revised curricula that meet the current and future needs
of employers, cutting-edge technology and equipment: It's all
here or in the works so that Daniel Webster meets its goal of
being among the top quartile of small colleges nationally that
has mastered the balance of developing today's workforce and
preparing tomorrow's workforce for careers in aviation,
business, engineering, and information technology.
The excitement among our faculty and staff
is palpable. Faculty are developing exciting industry
partnerships that benefit our students on so many different
levels - from visiting industry "experts," to being able to
provide important internships, to where companies are now coming
to us to recruit our graduates because they know our students
have the knowledge and skills to hit the ground running.
We are also making our mark in terms of
research, presentations, and grants. When your institution
receives a grant from Microsoft, that's big. But when your
students are asked to travel to Hawaii to present a paper they
researched and published, sorry Microsoft, but that's even
bigger.
Our faculty, our students, and our programs
are leading edge in terms of meeting 21st century needs. And,
being a smaller institution allows us the flexibility to move
fast to meet the needs of our current and future students, as
well as the marketplace, much more quickly.
So, again, welcome to Daniel Webster
College. We hope you can take the time to see how we are leading
the way in innovation.
Sincerely,

Dr. Robert E. (Skip) Myers
