Edwin Trautman, Ph.D.

Dr. Trautman has spent nearly 40 years in computers and engineering, as well as 30 years in healthcare.

He is an accomplished engineer and entrepreneur, with several commercial products and two patents to his name.

Dr. Trautman has done extensive consulting in international development, high technology, product development, healthcare risk, and organizational change.

More recently, he has worked in the emerging field of patient safety using human factors, systems approaches, and healthcare risk management to help providers reduce error and injury.

Dr. Trautman holds an S.B., an S.M., and a Ph.D., all from MIT. He is an avid aviation enthusiast, a private instrument-rated pilot with 1300 hours.
