MBA Admission Requirements

Daniel Webster College seeks students with a demonstrated level of maturity, motivation and academic skills.  Candidates for admission to the MBA program are expected to be able to benefit from and make a substantial contribution.

Requirements for admission include:

  • Three years of professional work experience
  • A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Ideal candidate would have an undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Completion of appropriate courses, or demonstration of the prerequisite knowledge and competencies with computer literacy, probability and statistics, principles of accounting I, and macroeconomics and/or microeconomics

Candidates for admission into the online MBA for aviation professionals lacking professional work experience should have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in an aviation related field.

*Applicants are considered on their own merit and exceptions to the above requirements are occasionally made.

MBA Program Application Materials

A complete application includes the following:

  • MBA Admissions Application with the $25 (non-refundable) application fee
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions.
    • A maximum of six graduate credit hours with a grade of B or better taken prior to acceptance may be credited toward degree requirements with division approval.  The courses must be similar in content to courses currently offered in the MBA program.
    • Transcript Request Form (103 KB)
  • Letters of recommendation by professional references (minimum 2)
  • Current resume
  • Submission of an essay that serves as a Statement of Purpose for pursuing the MBA degree; what is your rationale for attaining an MBA and what skills and contributions can you bring to enhance the educational experience of others.

International Student Information

  • Candidates whose native language is not English must also submit a TOEFL test score (the current TOEFL score requirement is 550 for paper-based exam, 213 for computer-based and 79-80 for internet-based exam).
  • Original or attested copies of academic records. English translation is required of all academic documents.  The college recommends World Education Services, Inc. www.wes.org
  • Documentation demonstrating ability to meet the financial obligations of studying in the United States. A Daniel Webster College Declaration of Finance must accompany all financial documents.
