Scope: The topic of abortion is on the forefront of contemporary issues once again. Since the 1973 Supreme Court Landmark decision of Roe V Wade to legalize abortion, women have been granted “the right to choose” despite protests from religious groups and others. Currently South Dakota as well as other states, are presenting voters with referendums which will pass laws banning nearly all abortions in the state. (CQ Researcher 9/22/2006)
The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guideline for student research. It is not intended as a comprehensive listing of all materials in the library on this topic, but as a selective sampling of the many types of materials available.
