Pathfinder: Adjustment Psychology

SCOPE: The term adjustment as related to the field of psychology may be defined as the relationship any individual forms in relation to the environment. In a positive manner, each individual is involved in a process of developing his or her potential and reacting to and changing with the environment in a healthy manner. (Reber, The Penguin Dictionary of Psychology) Adjustment involves how the individual adapts to the environment or circumstances within the environment.
The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guideline for student research. It is not intended as a comprehensive listing of all the resources available in the library, but as a selective sampling of the many types of materials available on this topic.
