Scope: Don DeLillo’s first novel Americana was published in 1971 and immediately established him as writer of considerable merit. His works are non-traditional in structure and his use of language features irony and satire. In general, the theme of his novels is the chaos of modern society. White Noise and Libra were bestsellers.
