Multimedia Lab
The
Multimedia Lab, located on the first floor of Baddour Library, offers two high end IBM digital video workstations complete with Adobe Premiere, a non-linear editing software program. Faculty are encouraged to use the lab to create videos for delivery via
DVD, VHS, cd-rom, or in a variety of digital file formats such as avi, and mov.
The following software is available:

Two Hewlett Packard ScanJet flatbed scanners
are also available and can be used to create documents and images for instructional use.
Three Kodak digital still cameras and a three Sony TRV digital video cameras are available for checkout. Training for equipment and software use is available and highly recommended.
Also available is a graphics tablet, which can be
combined with the Camtasia software to produce narrated
videos of instruction using whiteboard.
Workshops and one-on-one assistance for both faculty and staff are scheduled throughout each term and are available upon request. Contact

Hours
The lab is open all hours that the library is open.
It is staffed with professional help: (Spring 2006 schedule)
Monday - 10am to 6pm and 7pm to 9pm
Tuesday - 10am to 6pm and 7pm to 9pm
Wednesday - 10am to 6pm and 7pm to 9pm
Thursday - 10am to 6pm
Friday - 10am to 6pm
Saturday - 3pm to 5pm
Sunday - 6pm to 8pm |
