SCOPE:

 

Psychologists play a role in the criminal justice system. They evaluate such factors as the insanity defense, competency to stand trial, and risk to self and others as well as hostage negotiation. Forensic psychologists work in hospitals, courts, treatment centers, police and government services and perform duties such as consulting, training, research, and management. The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guideline for student research. It is not intended as a comprehensive listing of all the resources available in the library, but as a selective sampling of the many types of materials available on this topic.
