Pathfinder: Gay, Lesbian & Transgendered Resources

Scope|Subject Headings|Overview Sources|Circulating Books|Periodicals, Journals & Trade Publications|Videos|Web Sites

SCOPE: During the 1960s and 1970s social movements changed the way many people view gays and lesbians. Instead of social outcasts they became more represented as a small social minority. Today gays and lesbians are not
considered as having a psychological disorder, but as an often-accepted part of society. ( Palmisano, World of Sociology) The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guideline for student research. It is not intended as a comprehensive listing, but as a selective sampling of the many types of resources available in the library.

SUBJECT HEADINGS:

Books dealing with gay, lesbian & transgendered resources are listed in the Baddour Librarys online catalog under the following subject headings:

Gays
Lesbians

Gays United States Identity
