Pathfinder: Health Psychology
Scope|Subject Headings|Overview Sources|Circulating Books|Periodicals, Journals & Trade Publications|Videos
Scope: Psychological factors
influence how people stay healthy, why they become ill,
and how they respond to illness and treatment. Health
psychology involves understanding behavior in this
context as well as observing lifestyle factors such as
stress, personality types, and coping skills which
impact physical well-being. The mind/body connection
bears investigation when considering the health aspects
of the individual.
