SCOPE: The media has a great influence on today’s society and has increased information access and openness (Miller, A Companion to Cultural Studies). Media news outlets are frequently accused of having a liberal or conservative slant; as a result, many "watchdog" groups have sprung up. The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guideline for student research. It is not intended as a comprehensive listing of all the resources available in the library on this topic, but as a selective sampling of the many types of materials available.
