SCOPE: The relationship
between neuroscience and behavior and its role in the
realm of psychology is strongly evident. The mechanisms
and organization of behavior are embedded in the
operations of the brain. (Kazdin, Encyclopedia of
Psychology). Many psychiatric disorders are now viewed
as brain-based disorders and biological treatments
for these disorders are now being sought. The purpose of
this pathfinder is not intended as a comprehensive
listing of all the resources available in the library,
but as a selective sampling of the many types of
materials available.
Books dealing with the brain and neuroscience are listed
