Scope: Born in Paris, Anais Nin left school at age sixteen and subsequently was self-educated. Throughout her lifetime, Nin associated with many well-known writers and artists who influenced her writings. Her association with noted psychoanalyst Otto Rank greatly influenced her writing style. The Diary of Anais Nin was her most famous work.
