Scope: Andy Warhol was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1928 and became a portrait painter to New York society. He is a cult style figure who introduced his first picture series in 1962. Warhol became famous for his silk-screen prints of dollar-bills, Campbell Soup cans, and coca-cola bottles.
