Independent Verification Lab
established at Daniel Webster College
College partners with Interpose to launch computer security testing
initiative
February 17, 2005 (NASHUA, NH) —
Students at Daniel Webster College in Nashua will have an opportunity to
take a real-world approach to computer security testing initiatives with the
newly established Daniel Webster Independent Verification Lab. This program
is the result of a recent collaboration between Interpose, LLC of
Manchester, NH and Daniel Webster College.
Students will work with faculty and Interpose
personnel to create an environment in which Interpose antivirus technology,
Savant, can be tested and pushed to extremes. The lab currently has over 10
students working on the Savant technology.
Daniel Webster College Computer Sciences
Division Chair Thomas Goulding said, “Our support of Interpose represents an
initiative of the Computer Science and Information Systems departments to
have Daniel Webster students participate in leading edge research and
product development activities at high technology companies in the region."
This undertaking is the first of its kind for
Daniel Webster College and marks the beginning of a new type of relationship
between the school and the region’s business and high tech communities.
According to Interpose, LLC’s Chief Technology
Officer and founder Ken Steinberg, Interpose plans to work with Daniel
Webster College on all current and subsequent releases. He notes, “As a
result of working with the IVL, Interpose intends to make an already strong
product even stronger by tapping into the creative minds of the student
body.”
