| Agreement to allow NHCTC-DWC program
New Hampshire Community Technical
College-Nashua and Daniel Webster College in Nashua have signed an
articulation agreement that supports the transfer of NHCTC-Nashua students
into DWC's EXCEL baccalaureate degree completion program.
Under the agreement, graduates who complete
the NHCTC-Nashua/DWC program are assured that the courses they successfully
complete at NHCTC will be transferred to DWC.
Signed by NHCTC President Lucille Jordan
and DWC President Robert E. Myers, the agreement is a collaborative effort
to encourage open communication and seamless continuation of students'
pursuit of their academic goals, the presidents said.
"The agreement is designed to maximize the
applicability of the work successfully undertaken here at NHCTC through
careful planning, evaluation and effective information transfer to benefit
the students and enhance the academic goals of each institution," said
Jordan.
She said the agreement also meets one of
the New Hampshire Community Technical College System's strategic goals of
preparing students for successful college transfer and increased opportunity
for transfer.
Myers call the agreement "a wonderful
opportunity for both institutions, but, more importantly, for the students
of NHCTC-Nashua. The curricula at both schools, designed to complement one
another, will provide graduates with a strong educational program readying
them for leadership in their chosen profession."
The two-college plan launches this fall.
