Business People ─ James S. Hill

Daniel Webster College's President’s Office announced the appointment of James S. Hill as vice president of advancement. Hill started October 11.

Hill is an experienced and successful higher education advancement and fund-raising executive, coming from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU), Daytona Beach, Fla.

As its vice president of development, he led the university’s fundraising efforts, including supervising a $75 million capital campaign, major gifts, annual and planned giving, the corporate/foundation grant program, stewardship, prospect research, and alumni/parent relations.

Prior to ERAU, Hill culminated a career at Northern Arizona University as interim vice president, university advancement and executive director of NAU Foundation, where he more than doubled the university’s income from annual gifts and raised $106 million toward a $100 million goal in the first five  years of a seven year campaign.
