- Daniel Webster College (DWC) is once again hosting a HoloDek tournament
- CounterStrike 1.6 - at its Nashua campus November 18 and 19, 2006. This
is the second tournament HoloDek of Hampton, N.H., has held at Daniel
Webster, and it is sponsored by Hewlitt Packard.
The
tournament is being held in DWC's Collings Auditorium, which seats 350
gaming aficionados. Additionally, the event will kickoff the grand opening
of HoloDek’s newest permanent facility, located in the Eaton-Richmond
Center in the same building. Tournament spectators and customers of
HoloDek can "pay to play," taking advantage of the technology that HoloDek
has brought from its Hampton headquarters, including over 200 PC and
XBOX360 Game titles, for $6 an hour.
Thirty-two
5-person teams will compete during the tournament, with the top 8 teams
walking away with a share of the $6,000 cash prize; the first place team
shares a $2,600 prize. Group play runs from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. on
Saturday, with the finals beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Holo-Dek’s new gaming
facility at DWC offers “pay to play” every Friday and Saturday
HoloDek, New
England's first gaming theater, offers over 200 game titles for all ages
to play on over 40 gaming stations on PC and XBOX360 formats at its
Hampton, NH, center. HoloDek opened its second venue for Beta Testing this
past month at the Eaton-Richmond Center on the Daniel Webster College
Campus. While the grand opening will be on November 18th,
Daniel Webster’s HoloDek facility is open to the public on Fridays, 6 pm –
12 am, and Saturdays, 12 pm – 6 pm. Gamers can “pay to play” from
HoloDek’s selection of over 200 game titles and XBOX360s, featuring 6-foot
High Definition projection screens. Until November 18, HoloDek will be
issuing free “Beta Testing” T-shirts to all who use the facility.
Founded in
1965, Daniel Webster is an independent graduate and undergraduate college
