Four local athletes helped the Daniel Webster College men's hockey team to its first post-season championship last weekend.

Forward Greg Babcock of Pepperell, center Sean Jamieson of Townsend, defenseman William Schultes of Wilmington, and defenseman Adam Ziaja of Dracut were part of an Eagles program that won its first post season championship, the New England Collegiate Hockey Association's (NECHA) Conference B title, 4-3, in overtime this past Sunday over Coast Guard.

Daniel Webster went 1-20 three years ago and 2-19-1 two years ago. Last year the Nashua school was 11-10.

Jamieson potted two goals in the Eagles' 8-2 semifinal win over Springfield and assisted on another in the title game. Schultes chipped in with an assist against Springfield. Jamieson finished third in team scoring with a 14-8-22 mark, while Babcock added a 2-7-9 mark, Schultes added a 1-2-3 total, and Ziaja added one goal.
