Daniel Webster College recipient of
scholarship funding from Seaboard International
(Nashua,
NH)—Daniel Webster College was the recipient of a recent donation for two
scholarships from Seaboard International Forest Products, Nashua, NH.
Presenting the check to Daniel Webster College President Robert E. Myers
is Seaboard President Lorin S. Rydstrom.
Said Rydstrom, “Seaboard International and its employees take pride in our
involvement in the local community. The company and its employees have
historically been the largest per capita financial contributors to the
local United Way, and in some years, have the distinction of having the
highest participation rate in the area.
"Additionally, the company and its employees support many other local
charities with time and financial contributions including Marguerite's
Place, Home Health and Hospice, Habitat for Humanity, various church
organizations, local Boys and Girls Clubs, Saint Anselm College, and other
quality organizations.
"Nationally, we have contributed to various relief efforts, such as the
Red Cross and numerous hurricane and natural disaster funds. In addition,
many employees are active in coaching and supporting local youth sports
programs with significant time commitments . Their participation in
booster clubs and youth sports has a huge impact on the local community.
We are proud of our annual support of these charities.”
Since 1983, Seaboard International Forest Products. has grown to be one of
the 20 largest forest products wholesalers in the US. The company trades
lumber, panels and building materials. Last year, Seaboard had $550
million in sales, shipped more than 21,000 truckloads and 8,600 carloads
of product totaling over 1.3 billion board feet.
Daniel Webster College provides educational programs for professional
entry and advanced studies through its undergraduate and graduate programs
