DWC’s Gagnon, Kenyon
complete Campus Safety Training
Two members of the Daniel Webster
College (DWC) campus safety/security staff recently earned certification
from the New Hampshire Campus Safety Academy located at Keene State
College.
Randy Gagnon of Nashua, N.H. and Frank
Kenyon of Hudson, N.H. were both confirmed.
A native of Lowell, Mass., Gagnon has
been employed at DWC since April 2005 and is currently completing his
degree in business management from the College.
Kenyon, originally from Long Island,
N.Y., joined the DWC staff in October 2005.
“I am extremely proud of Randy’s and
Frank’s accomplishment,” said Jamie Provencher, DWC director of campus
safety. “Both men have been outstanding additions to our campus and I am
confident that they will continue to provide a safe environment for all
members of the College community.”
The academy, which is a subsidiary of
the New Hampshire Association of Campus Law Enforcement
Administrators (NHACLEA) is the oldest of its kind in the New
England region.
Campus safety officers who attend the
academy go through an intensive, week-long series of courses. Participants
are tested regularly throughout the week and are required to live at the
academy site on the Keene State campus during the training. Classes are
taught by a variety of professionals both in and outside the campus safety
vocation, including sworn police officers, professors and college staff
members from around the state.
Daniel Webster College, founded in
1965, educates men and women for professional entry and advanced studies
in the fields of aviation, computer science, management, social science
and engineering.
