Eddie Quick, the boys basketball coach at Hartford Public High School since 2001, has been named coach at Daniel Webster College in Nashua, N.H.

In five seasons, Quick led the Owls to two CCC East titles. The year before he took over, they were 3-17. He previously was coach at Glastonbury and an assistant at Wesleyan.

Quick, 37, grew up in Glastonbury and is a 1987 graduate of South Catholic-Hartford, where he played for Joe Reilly. He also played at Western Connecticut, graduating in 1991.

Division III Daniel Webster was 0-25 last season.

"This is a terrific opportunity," Quick said.
