DWC computer science
students to demonstrate why they're "Top Guns"
(Nashua, NH) — Hold
onto your mouse!
Daniel Webster College
computer science; gaming, simulation and robotics; and information
systems students will be strutting their stuff May 4th before
the college and corporate community from 10 am to 1 pm in the Collings
Auditorium.
Expect to see
commercial-quality demonstrations, first from freshmen who developed a
multi-game casino video gaming system that includes (TCP/IP)
communication to the “backroom” player monitoring, control, and asset
management (ADO.NET) subsystem, all done, of course in C#.NET, a complex
software development environment. This accomplishment, according to
Division Chair Professor Tom Goulding, is virtually unknown at the
freshman level anywhere.
Another presentation
will include the German WW II encryption system done in microprocessor
Assembly Language. This again, said Goulding, is a very high bar
attained by first semester sophomores.
Guests will also see
amazing 3-D graphics and games of great complexity done in XNA/C#.
Learn why Daniel
Webster has a reputation for producing “top guns” in the computer
science arena and you’ll understand why DWC is becoming the college of
choice in computer science.
Refreshments will be
served. For a schedule of activities and presentations, visit
