DANIEL WEBSTER COLLEGE ANNOUNCES
42nd COMMENCEMENT ON MAY 10
Internet pioneer Jeffrey Taylor, founder of Monster.com
and Eons.com, to address graduates. College will confer inaugural B.S.
Aeronautical Engineering degrees.
NASHUA, NH – Daniel Webster College today announced that its 42nd
Commencement will be held on May 10, 2008 on its campus in Nashua, New
Hampshire beginning at 11 a.m. Among the honorees will be the College’s
first Bachelor-level aeronautical engineering graduates—the vanguard of a
briskly-growing program.
“The Class of 2008 embodies the innovation, talent and vision necessary
to drive economic growth in New England and nationwide,” said Dr. Robert E.
Myers, president of Daniel Webster College. “Our graduates have
distinguished themselves academically and through internships and hands-on
learning. Jeff Taylor of Monster.com knows the value of experience; it is
fitting that he will address our workforce-ready graduates. We’re honored
that he is joining us.”
The small, private college – a regional center for the study of
engineering, computer science, Homeland Security, business, aviation, air
traffic control, and social sciences--will confer 192 degrees. Thirty-seven
(37) students will receive the Master of Business Administration, 40 have
earned a Bachelor of Science or Associate of Science in the school’s EXCEL
degree completion program, and 115 students will receive a Bachelor of
Science or Associate of Science degrees.
The College’s Engineering Division will celebrate its programs’ first
four-year aeronautical engineering graduates at the 2008 Commencement.
Daniel Webster College engineering graduates and underclassmen have
distinguished themselves by placing highly in engineering competitions
against larger programs such as MIT, Clarkson and Syracuse; and by
presenting papers at engineering conferences.
“The defining moment for the Division will be when our B.S. degree
graduates in Aeronautical Engineering cross the stage to receive their
diplomas,” said Nick Bertozzi, chair of the College’s engineering division.
“Each student’s diligence and work ethic, along with a dedicated and caring
faculty and staff, made this possible.”

career site. Today, the Monster global network consists of 22 local content
and language sites in 20 countries and serves 20 million visitors monthly.
