Gail Garceau
Gail M. Garceau has been appointed vice president of advancement and alumni affairs Daniel Webster College.

Garceau, who begins her new role at the end of August, is a board member of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Child & Family Services, and Family Strategies and Services. She is also associated with the Currier Museum and Seniors Count, and she has been affiliated with other local nonprofit organizations in a variety of roles, including Manchester Mayor Guinta’s Task Force on Health and Family Services, then-Mayor Baine’s Commission on the Office of Youth Services, Healthy Manchester Leadership Council, Get Moving Manchester, the New Hampshire Symphony, and the Commission on Charitable Giving & Volunteerism in New Hampshire.

Garceau is the recipient of numerous awards, including The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester’s Community Leadership Award; Campus Compact for New Hampshire’s President’s Community Partner Award; Odyssey House’s Heroine Award; the Manchester YMCA’s Susan B. Anthony Award; and she was named among the Business Leaders of the 21st Century by Business NH Magazine.

Izuh Obinelo and Robert ‘Skip’ Myers
The Academy for Science and Design recently added Izuh Obinelo, Ph.D., and Robert E. “Skip” Myers, Ph.D., to its board of trustees.

Obinelo, is the director of the Center for Airflow and Thermal Technologies at Degree Controls Inc. of Nashua. Obinelo earned his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and engineering physics from McMaster University in 1993, specializing in computational two-phase flow and heat transfer. He has authored or co-authored numerous patents and technical articles on electronics cooling.

As the leading scientist at Degree Controls Inc., Obinelo provides consulting services for numerous clients in all major industries. A native of Nigeria, Dr. Obinelo provides the ASD board with an international perspective as required by the school’s charter.

Myers is president of Daniel Webster College in Nashua. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees, both in Journalism, from the University of Maryland College Park. He received his Ph.D. in higher education policy, planning and administration from the University of Maryland College Park. Prior to coming to Daniel Webster, Myers was the chancellor of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide, a distributed learning network of 130 teaching and learning centers in the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Afghanistan.
