Help for income tax
will start on Feb. 1
Kaye Heffernan, District
coordinator
AARP Tax Aide
Nashua
I would like to publicly thank the staff
of Daniel Webster College for its help and cooperation in the training of
AARP tax aide volunteers. The staff allowed us to use a classroom and a
computer lab for two weeks while the students were on their holiday break.
I especially want to thank Daniel Webster
College's Cindy Stewart and Joe Donovan for their personal
attention to our needs.
We were able to train more than 40 volunteers in the AARP Tax Aide
Program in the new tax laws and familiarize them with the software that we
use during the tax season.
We will electronically file income
tax returns for low- and moderate-income taxpayers, as well as seniors, at
the Nashua Library beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 1, and then every Monday
and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. until April 18.
We also have sites in Merrimack, Milford, Amherst, Wilton, Greenville,
New Ipswich, Pelham and Salem, as well as the Nashua Senior Center.
