November 25, 2003 - Daniel Webster College announces a new
bachelor of science degree in marketing management, available through its
EXCEL degree-completion program, beginning in January 2004 at both its
Nashua and Portsmouth campuses. The EXCEL program can be completed in
as little as 18 months, attending class one night a week. The
marketing management degree joins other EXCEL degrees in organizational
management and management and information technology.
The marketing management program includes coursework in consumer and
business buying behavior, advertising and marketing communications, market
information and research, and international marketing management. The
EXCEL program is based on the cohort model where students become part of a
group that learns and makes decisions collaboratively. It incorporates
group activities that mirror a typical organizational environment; students
plan, develop and complete work-related projects, which, combined with
teamwork in the classroom, provide the opportunity to learn by doing.
DWC's bachelor degree in marketing management offers students a
comprehensive foundation covering a broad spectrum of the marketing
discipline. Areas of concentration include marketing promotion,
marketing research, international marketing, and entrepreneurship.
DWC's EXCEL bachelor degree in marketing management will appeal to
professionals and individuals who not only want to earn a bachelor degree
specific to marketing, but who also want to gain general knowledge in areas
such as management, leadership, and decision making.
