Bussolari named to
Daniel Webster College
Board of Trustees
(Nashua,
NH)- - Steven R. Bussolari, of Concord, Mass., Assistant Division Head,
Tactical Systems Technology, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Lexington, Mass., was
recently elected to the Board of Trustees at Daniel Webster College.
Bussolari holds a Ph.D. and S.M. (Master of Science) in mechanical
engineering from MIT and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Union
College. He serves on several government/industry committees that establish
standards for cockpit displays and human factors requirements for civil
aviation.
Bussolari is presently Manger of the Air Traffic Control Program, where he
directs FAA, NASA and U.S. Department of Defense-sponsored research on air
traffic surveillance, air/ground data link applications, satellite
navigation and air traffic management automation.
During the 1980s, Bussolari directed a variety of research activities at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was a C. S. Draper Laboratory
Assistant Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics, where he taught
graduate and undergraduate courses in human-machine interaction, system
dynamics, flight simulation, and flight control systems. He was also
director of flight operations for the Daedalus human-powered aircraft
project.
Bussolari is married to Marilee Jones and they have one daughter, Nora.
