Daniel Webster College to
graduate 225 on May 15

May 5, 2004 - Daniel
Webster College (DWC) will confer degrees to 225 graduates at its 38th
commencement
on Saturday, May 15, 2004.
Commencement begins at
approximately 10:45 a.m. with a bagpipe procession led by the Ancient Order of
Hibernians.
The commencement address will be given by former chairman and member of the DWC
board of trustees Thomas D. Rath, founder of the Concord law firm Rath, Young
and Pignatelli.
An honorary doctorate
degree will be awarded to acclaimed Native American artist R. C. Gorman of Taos,
NM. His exhibition has been on display at the college's Eaton-Richmond
Gallery since April 18 and will continue through May 16.
The 2004 valedictorian
is Brian Earp of St. Johnsbury, VT, who is graduating summa cum laude with a
bachelor of science degree in computer science. The salutatorian is Audrey
Nixon of Merrimac, NH, who is also graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor of
science degree in Management and Information Technology.
The 225 degree
recipients are traditional day students from the college's Nashua campus and
evening students from both the Nashua and Portsmouth campuses.
Founded in 1965, Daniel
Webster College is an independent institution with a primary focus on
experiential learning. Daniel Webster College's undergraduate degree
programs in aviation are complemented by its innovative programs in business and
management, computer science, information technology, engineering, sport
management and social science. Through its division of Graduate and
Continuing Studies, the college offers a one-night-a-week MBA program, the EXCEL
degree completion program, as well as certificate and distance learning
programs.
