There are more top-ranked colleges in New England than
in any other comparably sized U.S. region. Daniel
Webster College in Nashua, N.H., maintains this
tradition, particularly with its nationally recognized
Aviation Flight Operations (AFO) program. As the
aviation industry takes off both nationally and
internationally, this professional-pilot program
continues to grow and develop.

Training Devices Help Flight Schools Meet New Challenges
Steve Brown, director flight operations for
Daniel Webster College, believes that there needs to be more
focus on hiring CFIs as professional aviation instructors, not
just as interns or temporary employees to fill training slots.
His department has not been able to hire as many instructors as
desired and consequently it has had to change its curriculum to
keep its operations flowing smoothly.
