Nashua
Employment and Training (NETWorks) artists to hold open house for exhibit
at Daniel Webster College March 20
The public is invited to the opening reception for a unique art exhibit,
“Happenings,” Sunday, March 20 from 2-5 p.m. at the Eaton-Richmond Center
Gallery at Daniel Webster College, Nashua. The “Happenings” exhibition
runs through March 30, 2005.
Area adults with
disabilities, participants in NETWorks, will be on hand to show off their
remarkable work to the public. “Happenings,” according to art director Dot
Turner, is a collection of works by this wonderful group of new artists
exhibiting for the first time. “Their work expresses energy and spirit
from within through a combination of vibrant color, texture and design
that will delight the viewer and stir the soul.” Turner, an occupational
therapist by trade, began volunteering last year with clients who wanted
to
paint.
A
woodwind trio from the New Hampshire Philharmonic will be providing music
during the open house.
The artists are
participants of NETWorks, Nashua
