DWC professor quoted as expert on proposed airline tax

Professor Joakim Karlsson of DWC's aviation division is appearing  across the country in articles about the Bush administration's proposal for additional airline ticket taxes.  Professor Karlsson led the DWC team that participated in a recent study by Daniel Webster College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Global Airline Industry Program.

DWC extending its engineering degrees next fall

Starting in the fall of '05, the College is expanding its engineering offerings, and will begin a four-year BS degrees in both mechanical and aeronautical engineering.  The College has been offering Associate of Science degrees in engineering for more than 30 years.

Lee Zerrilla, '06, is a Hannah M. McCarthy scholar and a student that takes advantage of everything the campus has to offer.  An information systems major, Zerrilla says that sitting on the sidelines is no way to spend a college career.

The latest upgrade to the College's simulator fleet is the leading edge equipment in a new category of training devices.  It is considered to be a "major milestone in aviation education at Daniel Webster College."
