professor quoted as expert on proposed airline tax
Professor Joakim Karlsson
of DWC's aviation division is appearing across the
country in articles about the Bush administration's
proposal for additional airline ticket taxes.
Professor Karlsson led the DWC team that participated in
a recent study by Daniel Webster College and the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Global
Airline Industry Program.

extending its engineering degrees next fall
Starting in the fall of '05, the College is
expanding its engineering offerings, and will begin
a four-year BS degrees in both mechanical and
aeronautical engineering. The College has been
offering Associate of Science degrees in engineering
for more than 30 years.

Lee Zerrilla, '06, is a
Hannah M. McCarthy scholar and a student that takes
advantage of everything the campus has to offer.
An information systems major, Zerrilla says that sitting
on the sidelines is no way to spend a college career.

McCarthy selected for CASE award
Hannah McCarty received
the Chief Executive Leadership Award from the Council
for Advancement and Support of Education in recognition
of her outstanding contribution to the campus community,
for efforts promoting public understanding of education,
and for support of advancement at the DWC campus.

Business Person of the Year
The Nashua Chamber of Commerce bestowed the high
honor on Hannah McCarthy for her leadership of the
growth and stature of Daniel Webster College over
the past 25 years.

Installation of new flight simulator completed
The
latest upgrade to the College's simulator fleet is
the leading edge equipment in a new category of
training devices. It is considered to be a "major
milestone in aviation education at Daniel Webster
College."

students
Daniel Webster College offers a comprehensive
tutoring program for its students, with most tutor
positions filled by the college's students as well.
Help is there for freshmen adjusting to college
studies, as well as upper class students looking for
help to keep up their grades.
