the unusual and unique
Seventh annual auction
raises money for student scholarships at Daniel Webster
College

– Do two tickets to one of the Red Sox-Yankees opening
season series games pique your interest? Or do two 2005
Patriot tickets versus Buffalo, or four Patriots tickets
to another 2005 game? Or perhaps a framed R. C. Gorman
lithograph, or four weekends of relaxation, one for each
season of the year, in a luxurious Cambridge, Mass.
condo, complete with parking, are more to your taste.
These and oh-so-many-more unique trips and items will be
up for bid on Saturday, March 5 at Daniel Webster
College's seventh annual "Bid for Excellence"
Scholarship Auction at the College's Vagge Gymnasium in
Nashua.
Starting at 5:30 pm, the black-tie (optional) gala
includes dinner, a silent auction (featuring such
notable auction items as tickets to sought-after
sporting events), and the much anticipated live auction
staged by renowned auctioneer Paul Zekos, which will
include auction items such as exotic jewelry, wonderful
oriental rugs, and vacations in far-away places like
Vail, Colorado and Santa Fe, N.M. Other live auction
items include lunch with Senator Gregg in Washington,
breakfast with Governor Lynch, and 5-nights in a West
Palm Beach 19th floor penthouse condominium.
When the bidding is complete, the College expects to
raise tens of thousands of dollars for student
scholarships. Tickets are $100 per person and can be

donated by the College's magnanimous friends.
The "Bid For Excellence" Scholarship Auction annually
provides a significant contribution towards the future
of many Daniel Webster students, 85% of whom receive
institutional financial assistance. This one night plays
an important role in ensuring that deserving young
people have access to the quality education that is so
important in laying the solid foundation they will need
to build their future and reach their dreams.
Daniel Webster College, an independent four-year college
