What is the food like in the Dining Hall?

It's great! Meals at Daniel Webster are prepared by the folks from Aramark. Aramark has years of experience in planning and preparing meals for large institutions. There are many choices offered at each meal.  There are two meal plans offered:

  • a 19 meal plan which includes 3 meals per weekday and then brunch and dinner on the weekend.
  • a 10 meal plan which includes ten meals anytime during the week and a declining balance of $215 on a students ID which can be used if a student has guests, a student goes over the 10 meals in one week, or in the after-hours Grill Works.

Aramark commonly sets up a table in the dining hall the first week of classes so students can decide and sign-up for what meal plan he or she would prefer.

The dining hall is open 6:30am to 6:30pm during the week and 10:00am to 6:00pm on the weekends.  The Grill Works is open from 7:00pm to 11:30pm everyday.

It is not unusual to see faculty and staff join the students for lunch and dinner in the dining hall.

Are students required to have a computer?

No. DWC provides over 150 state-of-the-art computers, and printers, and one lab is reserved solely for student use, meaning there is never class held in the lab.  Computer lab hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 12:00am.  On Friday and the weekends the hours are shortened due to less of a demand.  Also, during exam week the labs are commonly open 8:00am to 3:00am.  Many students choose to bring their own computer, but it is not required.

Do you offer any ROTC programs?

Yes. DWC offers Air Force ROTC on campus and in conjunction with the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. DWC also offers Army ROTC through the University of New Hampshire.

Do students do internships, or is there any other way they may gain experience?

Yes. Students are strongly encouraged to perform internships and, in many cases, internships are a core requirement. DWC offers many exciting internship possibilities that allow students to sample, first hand, the opportunities available in their chosen fields. Some of our students prefer to arrange their own internships using their personal connections. Most of our students benefit from DWC's extensive network of professional connections. Our students have interned at places such as Fidelity Investments, Compaq, the Cleveland Cavaliers, American Airlines, United Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Tiffany’s, Puma, Coca-Cola, The Federal Aviation Administration, and many more.
