Information for Parents of Current DWC Students

Dear DWC Parent,

Welcome to the Parents Page!

This page is part of our commitment to continually improve the quality and relevance of the Daniel Webster College learning community inside and outside the classroom. You are a key member of our community.

In the past, we e-mailed a newsletter—the Campus Link—to parents each month. The new Parents Page will update information more frequently so that you have the latest information about what’s happening on campus; and useful, thought-provoking articles about how to enrich your daughter's or son’s higher educational experience.

On behalf of the Student Affairs organization at Daniel Webster College, I hope that you enjoy the Parents Page and visit frequently. Your comments and ideas are welcome—use the feedback form below or e-mail me at studentaffairs@dwc.edu.

Sincerely,

Susan Elsass
Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students
Daniel Webster College

2008 Block Party: May 2, 2008 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The 2008 Daniel Webster College Block party promises to be the best ever! We’ll have live bands; inflatables; club and organization demonstrations; a BBQ; the DWC Class Cup; and more surprises!

The Daniel Webster College Student Activities Board, Student Senate, and Resident Assistants have designated the week prior to the Block Party “D-Dub Spirit Week.” Spirit Week will include a inter-class competition, including tug-of-war, Wet Dodgeball, Beach Volleyball, D-Dub Double Dare, penny wars, a gum tower competition, great games, and more. The winning class will have raffle tickets and be eligible for over $2,500 in prizes.

Resumes: they’re not just for seniors!

No matter what year your student is, there’s no need to put off the creation of a resume! Developing and then tweaking a resume annually, if not more frequently, is a smart task because it allows students to explore their accomplishments and their goals. Plus, they’ll be ready to apply as soon as that desirable job, leadership position or internship comes along! [Read full article here]
